Hi Marsi I really liked the video specially that part that says that we have to teach how, and not teach this. In other words we have to teach our students to solve problems and become independent.
I believe that teaching to promote learner autonomy goes beyond teaching how, it is teaching an attitude towards learning and how to cope with problems. This requires that the teacher him/herself acts with autonomy but sometimes this autonomy is not given per se and we have to struggle to get it.
Hi Marsi,
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiring video!
And do you have autonomy as a teacher at the place where you work?

Hi Helo,
ReplyDeleteWhat do exactly mean?
Can you be more specific because the term autonomy suggests a lot of meanings?
